Why a subscription instead of a commission?
Because a commission would quietly make us the thing we set out to replace.
A percentage of every fare means we earn more when fares are higher, which gives us a reason to push drivers towards expensive duties rather than the right ones. It means we would have to sit between you and your money, hold a wallet, and decide when to release it. And it means the platform takes a cut from exactly the person who did the driving - which is the broker's business model with a nicer app.
A flat fee has none of those incentives. We earn the same whether your duty is ₹500 or ₹8,000, so the only way we grow is by being useful enough that you keep the app installed.
₹160 a month is far below the cost of repeated broker cuts. If Dutiess helps you avoid one ₹2,400 brokerage, it can cover about fifteen months of the introductory subscription.
What we never charge for
How money moves
It does not move through us at all. There is no wallet, no escrow and no payment gateway between drivers.
You and the other driver settle the fare directly, exactly as you do today. That also means we cannot recover a fare for you if a duty goes wrong - see the Refund Policy.
Agencies and fleets
The same flat price. A fifty-car fleet pays what a single driver pays - we do not charge per vehicle or per driver.

Pricing questions
How does the free first month work?expand_more
Your first month starts when your Dutiess account is activated. Every feature is available during that month and no payment is taken.
After the free month, you must actively subscribe before any charge is made.
Do I need to enter card details now?expand_more
No. We collect no payment details to start your free month. If anyone asks you to pay to join Dutiess or to speed up verification, it is a scam - report it.
Is ₹160 inclusive of GST?expand_more
Yes - the displayed price is inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout, so ₹160 is what leaves your account. You remain responsible for your own taxes on the fares you earn.
Can I cancel any time?expand_more
Yes. No lock-in, no notice period, no cancellation fee. Cancel and your access continues to the end of the period you already paid for, then simply lapses. Your rating, reliability score and duty history are kept if you come back. Full detail in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
How exactly does the referral offer work?expand_more
Share your referral code from the app. When five drivers you referred complete verification - not just install the app - your next month is free.
There is no cap. Bring five more and the following month is free too. Free months have no cash value and cannot be transferred or refunded, and referral fraud (fake accounts, self-referrals) removes the benefit and can earn a strike.
Will the price go up?expand_more
If it ever changes, you get at least 30 days' notice in the app before it applies to you, and you can cancel before it takes effect. The price is always published on this page - we will not change it quietly.
Is there a free tier after the first month?expand_more
We have not decided. What we will not do is create a "free" tier that works badly on purpose to push you into paying. If a free tier exists, it will be genuinely usable, and the paid one will be worth it on its own merits.
